Needlefish

NEEDLEFISH (Belonidae)

Needlefish can be found in all marine environments. Quite often they can be found schools in shallow water chasing small fish. They are carnivorous. In Maldives bigger fish can be found patrolling the surf or coral reef. They have long, narrow jaws filled with sharp teeth. When we fly fish for them we do not use conventional flies, but yarn that wraps around there teeth.
