EMPEROR (Lethrinidae)

There are quite a few Lethrinidae species in Maldives, more common is Yellow lipped emperor (Lethrinus xanthochilus). They can reach 35 inches (88cm) and live between coral or close to other predatory species like octopus, eel. Quite often they take fly when fishing for other species like triggerfish.
